Truck Loader (Night Shift)

You'll load and offload trucks at a furniture retailer warehouse in Thohoyandou so every delivery goes out full and correct. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is in Thohoyandou (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first

• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
