Turndown Attendant (Evening Shift)

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a conference hotel in Cape Town CBD to a checklist standard. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a conference hotel on the Cape Town CBD side of Western Cape.

• Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.

• Grade 10 or higher
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• Weekend and public holiday work
• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift

• Chemical handling training
• A supervisor course or time spent running a floor

• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts
• Meals on duty
• Monthly award for best room scores
• Uniform and protective gloves supplied

• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
