Undercover Floor Walker (Supermarket)

You'll be based at a building-supplies store in Burgersfort. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
• Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
• Attend court as a witness when a case goes to trial
• Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
• Help with stock counts and point out loss hot-spots
• Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft

• Good report writing
• PSIRA registration, Grade C at least
• Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
• Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4

• Retail loss prevention course
• Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
• Experience giving evidence in court
