Van Sales Rep (Snacks & Confectionery)

This hardware and paint supplier needs a rep in Coega who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Coega, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Log kilometres and fuel slips for the monthly claim.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.

• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners

• A sales or marketing certificate
• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• Speaking two or more local languages

• Product samples and staff pricing
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Cellphone and data allowance
