Voice-Picking Warehouse Assistant

Every order that leaves this frozen-food distribution centre in Boksburg passes through your hands first. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Boksburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner

• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
