Warehouse General Hand (Day Shift)

You'll keep a busy spares and hardware warehouse in Pretoria East stocked, picked and moving out on time. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Pretoria East, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Experience in a cold-chain or freezer environment

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
