Warehouse Packer (Seasonal Peak) – Fixed-Term

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at a clothing distribution centre in Kathu. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The site is in Kathu; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane

• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
