Warehouse Picker (Night Shift)

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in Mamelodi, and nobody minds if it's your first job. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a frozen-food distribution centre in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Scan every item so the system shows the right stock count
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker

• Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts

• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied

• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
