Window Cleaner (Rope Access Assistant)

Tough, messy cleaning at a poultry processing plant in Pretoria West, paid better than ordinary cleaning. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll report in Pretoria West. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Lock out machines before cleaning, as the safety file requires
• Run a high-pressure washer on grease, oil and slurry build-up
• Clean drains and grease traps in commercial kitchens
• Put out and check pest bait stations on the site map
• Store chemicals in the locked chemical store with safety data sheets
• Shampoo carpets and upholstery with an extraction machine
• Test sanitiser strength with test strips and record the reading

• Physically strong for wet, heavy work
• Reliable, as crews are small and each person counts
• Not scared of heights for window or rope crews
• Respect for chemical safety and PPE
• Willing to work nights and weekends when plants shut down

• Chemical safety or HACCP hygiene training
• Experience using a high-pressure washer or carpet extractor
• Pest control registration under the fumigation rules

• Night-shift and standby allowances
• Paid training on machines and chemicals
• Higher hourly rate than standard cleaning
