Workshop Controller (Service Department)

The workshop runs on good bookings and the right parts. This motorcycle dealership in Midrand needs you on that side. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Midrand (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Phone customers with extra work found and get approval in writing
• Load bookings in the dealer management system
• Pick, pack and issue parts to technicians against job cards
• Handle complaints calmly and find a fix with the workshop manager
• Submit warranty claims with photos and technician reports

• Calm and polite with customers, even when they are upset
• Good working knowledge of car parts and basic vehicle systems
• Code 08 licence
• At least 2 years as a service advisor, parts interpreter or in a similar counter role
• Computer literate with a dealer management system or parts software
• Accurate when capturing part numbers and prices

• Some mechanical training or a trade background
• Parts interpreter or service advisor course through merSETA
• Experience in a customer satisfaction survey-driven dealership

• Paid brand training
• Company uniform
• Commission on parts sales or workshop turnover
