Ablution Cleaner (Shopping Centre)

A cleaning contractor in Mamelodi needs dependable cleaners for a shopping centre. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a shopping centre in Mamelodi. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Clean glass doors and internal windows without streaks
• Refill toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers
• Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift
• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Wipe desks, door handles, lift buttons and light switches
• Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip

• Grade 10 or higher
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
• Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
• Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00

• Chemical handling training from a supplier or contractor
• Training on a floor polisher or scrubber machine
• Supervisory experience for team leader posts

• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided
• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules

• Arrive neat and early for the interview. It is a small test of how you will arrive for a 05:00 shift.
• List each site you have cleaned (office, mall, school) and how long you stayed. Contractors want people who stick with a site.
