Access Control Officer (Grade C)

The gate at an industrial park in Brits is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Brits, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Clean criminal record
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Provident fund contributions
• Stable long-term site contracts
