Access Control Officer (Grade C)

You'll control who comes in and out of a gated residential estate in Klerksdorp, and log every visitor properly. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

The site is in Klerksdorp; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
