Access Control Officer (Grade C)

The gate at a construction yard in Secunda is the first line of safety, and you would be standing at it. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a construction yard in Secunda. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Hand out and collect contractor access cards

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• Previous experience at a similar site type
• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
