Accounting Teacher (Grades 10-12)

A low-fee private school in Middelburg (MP) needs a teacher who can hold a class and lift the marks. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Middelburg (MP). Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Set, mark and moderate formal assessment tasks for the term
• Supervise break duty, sport or a cultural activity each term
• Capture marks on SA-SAMS or the school's reporting platform before deadlines
• Prepare Grade 12 learners for prelims and the NSC exams
• Keep learner profiles and a tidy teacher file for subject advisers
• Teach your allocated classes and keep the pace of the ATP

• A B.Ed, or a degree plus PGCE, in the phase and subject you'll teach
• At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice
• Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase
• You can manage a class of 35 or more without losing control
• Good spoken and written command of the language of teaching
• Clear record on the National Register for Sex Offenders and a police clearance

• Mention the extra-murals you can run, as smaller schools often choose the teacher who can also coach.
