Accounting Tutor (Matric Rewrite Learners)

Pick up afternoon or evening sessions with a matric rewrite college in Kariega and put your subject knowledge to work. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll report in Kariega. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
• Teach one-on-one or in small groups of up to six
• Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety
• Write a short progress note for parents after each session
• Set practice work between sessions and check it next time
• Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test
• Prepare learners for control tests with short timed practice drills

• Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
• Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
• Police clearance for work with minors
• Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
• Currently studying at university, or holding a degree or diploma
• Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week

• Remedial or learning support training
• Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
