Accounting Tutor (Matric Rewrite Learners)

An online tutoring platform in Montague Gardens needs a patient tutor who can turn a failing mark into a pass. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at an online tutoring platform in Montague Gardens. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Write a short progress note for parents after each session
• Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
• Work through past exam papers and marking memos with learners
• Prepare learners for control tests with short timed practice drills
• Log hours and sessions on the agency's booking system for payment
• Plan sessions that target the exact topics the learner is failing
• Set practice work between sessions and check it next time

• Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
• Own transport for home tutoring posts
• Police clearance for work with minors
• Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
• Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
