Aftercare Supervisor (Primary School)

Little ones at a workplace day care centre in Atlantis learn through play, and you'll set up that play. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Atlantis (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Watch children closely outside and keep the play area safe
• Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic
• Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
• Run morning ring with songs, weather and counting
• Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
• Observe each child and note milestones in their development file

• Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
• Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
• Warm, patient and energetic with small children
• ECD Level 4 or Level 5 qualification, or currently studying towards one
• Paediatric first aid certificate
• Matric

• Add one sentence about an activity you ran that the children loved; it shows you can plan, not just supervise.
• Apply for the Form 30 check early, as it can take weeks and many creches won't appoint without it.
