Job Description

Short sessions, clear explanations and real progress: that's tutoring with a home tutoring agency in Randburg. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a home tutoring agency.

What your day looks like

Run live video lessons with a headset, whiteboard app and stable connection
Write a short progress note for parents after each session
Set practice work between sessions and check it next time
Adjust your pace for learners with ADHD, dyslexia or anxiety
Assess a new learner's level with a short diagnostic test

Must-haves

Available at least three afternoons or evenings a week
Reliable internet and a quiet place to teach for online posts
Clear, patient way of explaining ideas
Distinction or strong pass in the subject you'll tutor
Police clearance for work with minors
Own transport for home tutoring posts

Extra points for

Experience with IEB as well as CAPS papers
Second language for learners who study in Afrikaans or isiZulu
TEFL or TESOL certificate for English tutoring
