Job Description

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a wholesale distributor in Bellville. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a wholesale distributor on the Bellville side of Western Cape. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review

Must-haves

Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
Understanding of VAT input and output rules

Nice if you have

Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper
Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
