Accounts Clerk (Property Management)

A property management company in Mossel Bay needs a bookkeeper who closes the month on time, every month. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll report in Mossel Bay. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents

• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
• Matric with Accounting
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices

• Recruiters often give a short Excel or recon test, so practise a bank recon before the interview.
• Name the accounting packages you use daily in your CV headline, such as "Sage Pastel Partner, Xero, Excel".
