Accounts Clerk (Property Management) – Permanent

Every invoice, payment and bank line at this small accounting practice in Richards Bay goes through your hands. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
• Run petty cash and file slips with proper supporting documents
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation

• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules

• Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
• Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper

• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms
• Office hours with no weekend work
