Accounts Payable Administrator (Group Finance) – Experienced

A motor dealership in Vanderbijlpark needs a bookkeeper who closes the month on time, every month. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a motor dealership in Vanderbijlpark. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
• Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
• Load supplier payments on internet banking for authorisation
• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out

• At least 2 years of hands-on bookkeeping or clerk work
• Understanding of VAT input and output rules
• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
• Thirteenth cheque at many small firms

• Recruiters often give a short Excel or recon test, so practise a bank recon before the interview.
• Say how far you take the books, for example "to trial balance" or "to management accounts"; it tells recruiters your level.
