Job Description

A boutique labour law practice in Bloemfontein needs an attorney who can draft, advise and stand up in court. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Home base is a boutique labour law practice on the Bloemfontein side of Free State. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

What your day looks like

Track legislation changes that affect clients' businesses
Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals
Record billable time and hit the monthly target
Review company processes for POPIA and privacy compliance
Advise clients on risk, settlement and next steps in plain language
Negotiate settlements and draft settlement agreements
Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions

What you need

At least 2 years of post-admission experience in the relevant field
Strong drafting and legal research
Sound judgement under deadline pressure
Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
