Admitted Attorney (Personal Injury)

You'll run your own files from instruction to judgment at a property developer's in-house team in Umlazi. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The work is in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Advise clients on risk, settlement and next steps in plain language
• Draft and review contracts, shareholder agreements and legal opinions
• Appear in the magistrate's court, CCMA, Labour Court or High Court as your matters need
• Keep trust account instructions and fee notes accurate
• Supervise and train candidate attorneys and paralegals
• Brief counsel and prepare them for trial and opposed motions

• At least 2 years of post-admission experience in the relevant field
• Strong drafting and legal research
• Right of appearance in the High Court for litigation posts
• Enrolled with the Legal Practice Council and holding a current Fidelity Fund certificate if you handle trust money
• LLB and admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa
• Sound judgement under deadline pressure
