After-Hours Office Cleaner

You'll keep a call centre floor in Midrand clean, stocked and fresh before the people arrive. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a call centre floor on the Midrand side of Gauteng. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
• Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip
• Mix cleaning chemicals at the dilution shown on the label, never by guesswork
• Sign the ablution checklist on the back of the door after each clean
• Run a scrubber-dryer machine on large tiled areas

• Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
• Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
• You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
• Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items
• Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
• Grade 10 or higher

• Chemical handling training from a supplier or contractor
• Supervisory experience for team leader posts

• Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
• UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules
• Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
• Uniform and cleaning gloves provided

• List each site you have cleaned (office, mall, school) and how long you stayed. Contractors want people who stick with a site.
• Arrive neat and early for the interview. It is a small test of how you will arrive for a 05:00 shift.
