Job Description

Parents at this primary school aftercare programme in Kempton Park trust you with their children every morning. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a primary school aftercare programme in Kempton Park. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Chat to parents at drop-off and pick-up about how the day went
Prepare simple, nutritious snacks and keep the kitchen hygienic
Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine
Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
Run morning ring with songs, weather and counting
Observe each child and note milestones in their development file

Must-haves

Clear Form 30 child protection check and police clearance
Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
Able to follow hygiene and safety routines without cutting corners
Warm, patient and energetic with small children
