Job Description

You'll care for and teach young children at a Montessori pre-school in Richards Bay, from nappies to first letters. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Set up daily learning areas for art, blocks, reading and fantasy play
Follow the NCF daily programme and adapt it for each age group
Help aftercare learners with homework and reading
Plan themes and holiday programmes with the principal
Clean and sanitise toys, mats and tables at the end of the day
Feed, change and settle babies and toddlers on their routine

What you need

Matric
Experience caring for children in a group setting, even as a volunteer
Warm, patient and energetic with small children
Paediatric first aid certificate
