Aircon Installer (Residential) – Experienced

You'll install, service and repair refrigeration and aircon systems across Paarl. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Paarl, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Pressure test with nitrogen, pull a deep vacuum and charge with R410A, R32 or R134a
• Install split units, cassettes and ducted systems, including brazing and vacuum work
• Recover refrigerant into cylinders and log every kilogram used
• Complete service reports on a tablet and have the site manager sign them
• Clean coils, replace filters and check drain lines on scheduled services
• Commission new systems and show the client how to use the controls
• Respond to temperature alarms from cold rooms before stock is lost

• Understanding of single- and three-phase control circuits
• Comfortable on roofs and ladders in summer heat
• Brazing, flaring and vacuum skills you can demonstrate
• At least 2 years servicing commercial or residential systems

• Building management system alarm handling
• Transport refrigeration units on trucks and trailers
• CO2 transcritical refrigeration experience in retail stores

• Standby pay for weekend fridge breakdowns
• Manufacturer training on new equipment ranges
• Gauge manifold, vacuum pump and recovery unit issued to you

• Mention whether you are comfortable on standby. Most service jobs in this trade include it.
• Your SAQCC Gas card must be current. Put the expiry date on your CV so nobody has to ask.
