Alarm Monitoring Controller (Night Shift)

Night or day, a remote video monitoring centre in Gqeberha never switches off, and neither does your focus on shift. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a remote video monitoring centre on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams

• Show you can stay alert at night. If you have done night shift before without problems, say so.
• Some companies give a typing and map test. Practise finding streets on a map quickly before the interview.
