CCTV Monitoring Officer (Night Roster)

You'll watch the screens and radios at an armed response control room in Kariega, and send help the moment something is wrong. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Kariega; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
• Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
• Log every event and action on the monitoring software
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
• Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams

• Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

• CCTV operator short course
• Call centre work in the past
• Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform

• Training on the monitoring software
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Shift allowance for nights
• Path to senior controller or supervisor
