Job Description

Sharp eyes and a calm voice are the tools of the trade at a shopping mall security office in Krugersdorp. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Krugersdorp (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Log every event and action on the monitoring software
Pull and save video footage for incident investigations
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement

Must-haves

Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
Matric
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts

Extra points for

Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
CCTV operator short course
