Job Description

Night or day, a shopping mall security office in Newcastle never switches off, and neither does your focus on shift. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a shopping mall security office on the Newcastle side of KwaZulu-Natal. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

The work, day to day

Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Log every event and action on the monitoring software

You'll need

Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
