Job Description

You'll watch the screens and radios at an armed response control room in Soweto, and send help the moment something is wrong. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is an armed response control room on the Soweto side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Log every event and action on the monitoring software
Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change

Must-haves

Matric
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

Extra points for

Experience on a CCTV or alarm monitoring platform
CCTV operator short course
Call centre work in the past
