Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a mixed-use neighbourhood in Midrand in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll be based at a mixed-use neighbourhood in Midrand. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What your day looks like

Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

You'll need

PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
At least 2 years in guarding or response

Helpful, not essential

Advanced driving course
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
