Armed Escort Officer

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a suburban residential area in Rustenburg. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a suburban residential area on the Rustenburg side of North West.

• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook

• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• Advanced driving course

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Danger and night allowances

• Bring the originals of your certificates to the interview. Armed companies verify them before a shooting test.
