Armed Escort Officer – Immediate Start

You'll answer alarms across a farming district in Vanderbijlpark in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Vanderbijlpark, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room

• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course

• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• Advanced driving course
• First-aid Level 2 or 3

• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Danger and night allowances
