Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a mixed-use neighbourhood in East London in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a mixed-use neighbourhood on the East London side of Eastern Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What your day looks like

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

What you need

Calm under pressure and physically fit
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
