Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a mixed-use neighbourhood in Midrand. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a mixed-use neighbourhood on the Midrand side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room

Must-haves

At least 2 years in guarding or response
Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

Nice if you have

Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
Advanced driving course
SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
