Job Description

Clients in a business park in Richards Bay pay for fast response, and this crew delivers it. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

You'll need

SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
At least 2 years in guarding or response
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Calm under pressure and physically fit

Nice if you have

SAPS, SANDF or reservist background
Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
