Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a suburban residential area in Richards Bay. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

The work, day to day

Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over

What you need

PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
Calm under pressure and physically fit
Clean criminal record and no pending cases

Helpful, not essential

First-aid Level 2 or 3
Advanced driving course
