Armed Reaction Officer (Business Parks)

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a suburban residential area in Bellville. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

You'll report in Bellville. Relocation is not covered for this one. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren

• At least 2 years in guarding or response
• Calm under pressure and physically fit
• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts

• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• Advanced driving course
• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background

• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Group life cover through the provident fund
• Danger and night allowances
