Job Description

Serious work for a serious officer: armed response across a mixed-use neighbourhood in eMalahleni. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a mixed-use neighbourhood in eMalahleni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What your day looks like

Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates

What you need

Clean criminal record and no pending cases
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
