Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a business park in Thohoyandou in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is in Thohoyandou (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

What your day looks like

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Secure a scene until SAPS arrives and hand over details
Check the firearm in and out of the safe at shift start and end

Must-haves

Clean criminal record and no pending cases
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
At least 2 years in guarding or response
