Job Description

Hit your collection targets at this debt collection agency in Epping and your commission shows it. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a debt collection agency on the Epping side of Western Cape. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Report daily on rands collected, contacts made and arrangements set.
Keep calls within the National Credit Act and the Debt Collectors Act rules.
Send written arrangements by SMS or email straight after each call.
Track broken promises-to-pay and follow up within 48 hours.
Dial through your arrears book on the auto-dialler and confirm the debtor's identity.
Hand accounts over for legal action once internal steps are exhausted.

What you need

Clear credit and criminal record
Target-driven and comfortable with commission
Registered, or willing to register, with the Council for Debt Collectors
Good with numbers, dates and payment calculations

Helpful, not essential

A second South African language
Legal collections or attorney-firm background
Experience on a collections system such as Debtmaster or a dialler platform
