Job Description

You'll build parts or whole vehicles on a moving line at the wiring harness factory in Pinetown. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Pinetown (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Assemble components at your station within the line cycle time
Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle
Wear the correct PPE, including gloves, glasses and ear protection
Follow standard work sheets and quality checkpoints at every step
Keep your station clean using 5S rules
Take part in kaizen ideas to improve your station

Must-haves

Grade 12 certificate
Can follow written and visual work instructions
Good eyesight and hand coordination
Able to stand for a full shift and do repeat tasks without losing focus
Lives close enough to reach the plant on time for every shift
Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test

Extra points for

Forklift licence for material handling
Previous experience in an automotive plant
