Assessor and Moderator (Services SETA)

A public TVET college in Vanderbijlpark needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Vanderbijlpark-based, with most of your time spent at a public TVET college. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Coach learners who are behind and plan re-assessments
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Give feedback on course materials so the next intake runs better
• Moderate other assessors' decisions and sign off moderation reports
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings

• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Own transport for training at client sites
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts
• Good report writing and record keeping
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults

• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
• Travel allowance or company car for site training
• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Paid re-registration with your SETA

• Put your assessor registration number and the SETA it sits with at the top of your CV.
• Show your industry years separately from your training years; providers need both.
