Job Description

A family in Fourways wants someone they can trust with their townhouse in a security complex and their children. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Fourways-based, with most of your time spent at a townhouse in a security complex.

What you'll actually do

Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
Change bed linen and make beds
Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon
Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked

What you need

Good with children and patient
Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
South African ID or valid work permit
Able to handle a full-day physical routine

Nice if you have

Basic first aid or child CPR course
Non-smoker
A driver's licence for school lifts

On offer

Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer
Written contract with fixed hours and duties
Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires
