Job Description

Fix it right the first time: that is the job at this independent service workshop in Gqeberha. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is an independent service workshop on the Gqeberha side of Eastern Cape.

What you'll actually do

Keep your bay, tools and special service tools clean and counted
Road test vehicles before and after repairs
Replace clutches, brake pads, discs, shocks and timing belts
Carry out scheduled services to the manufacturer's checklist and interval
Diagnose engine, ABS and airbag faults with an OBD-II diagnostic scanner

You'll need

Confident with diagnostic scan tools and wiring diagrams
Neat with customer vehicles: seat covers, floor mats and no grease marks
Your own basic toolbox
Motor mechanic trade test certificate (Red Seal) or occupational certificate at NQF 4
Able to meet flat-rate or sold-hour targets

Nice if you have

Automatic gearbox or DSG repair experience
Air-conditioning regas experience with SAQCC Gas registration
