Bakery Production Hand (Early Shift) – Experienced

You'll keep the line running at a soft drink bottling plant in Mamelodi, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Home base is a soft drink bottling plant on the Mamelodi side of Gauteng. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card

• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Available for rotating day and night shifts

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Staff shop with discounted factory products

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
